The principal or other appropriate individual will create a new account for the NYC School employees. Before creating an account, the person must determine whether or not an account has already been created in the employee’s name.

Additionally, you can use Microsoft Outlook to create a new DOE Account. To create a new DOE Email Login account on Microsoft Outlook, follow the simple steps outlined below:

  • From here, you can access the DOE Extranet portal.
  • Simply press the SMU icon.
  • If you are unable to locate the icon, please contact the PRC team.
  • Go to the Staff Management section of the menu.
  • Select the option for Non-Gov-Add Staff.
  • Fill in the required information in the appropriate fields, then click the ‘Authorize’ button.
  • On the screen, a pop-up window informs you that you have successfully created a DOE email account in Outlook Office.
  • The corresponding individual or the principal will receive an email with all of the pertinent information.

An activation email will also be sent to the user’s email address, stating that a link has been sent to activate the DOE account.

The NYC School Principal must authorize permission to the staff member to view the website after the account has been successfully created on 365 Outlook Office.

The staff member can log into the DOE Email Outlook using the necessary credentials.

To log into the NYC DOE Email Outlook account, follow the steps outlined below:

  • To begin, go to the Extranet Portal on your smartphone.
  • On that page, you’ll be asked to log into your Outlook account by providing your login credentials.
  • The ‘Sign-in choices’ button must be selected.
  • On the screen, you’ll see three alternative possibilities.
  • Select ‘Sign in to an organization’ from the drop-down menu.
  • In the fields provided, type the username and password.

  • Go to Gmail and sign in.
  • Enter the DOE username and password in the fields provided on the login page.
  • To sign in, click the Sign in button
  • after that, you’ll be taken to a verification page.
  • It will want you to verify that the account mentioned is yours.
  • Simply press the “Continue” button.
  • You’ll be redirected to your new Gmail account. After that, you’ll be able to log into your DOE student account.
  • The New York City Department of Education will send you texts.
  • Google Classroom, iLearnNYC, and other DOE systems can all be accessed using the same technique.

How To Reset Your DOE Password

If you forget your login or password, press the Password & Profile Management link to reset your DOE Student Password. This option can be found on the sign-in page (you can check the link on the Login page) to assist you reset your password.

  • On the following screen, there are four options: DOE Employees, Students, Parents, and External Users.
  • To reset your password, select ‘Students’ from the drop-down menu.
  • Click the ‘Forgot Username/Password’ button.

  • In the event that you forget your PIN, simply contact your school.
  • To confirm that you are not a robot, tick the box.
  • Continue by pressing the Next button.
  • Your username will appear on the screen if the information you’ve entered is correct.
  • Click ‘Continue to Password Reset’ if you still wish to reset your password.
  • Some of the security questions must be answered.
  • You will be given five chances to answer all of the security questions.
  • After five unsuccessful attempts, your account will be locked if you do not submit the exact answers.
  • Press the Next button if you entered the security answers properly.
  • After that, you can create a new password.
  • Make sure you don’t use any of the previous five passwords as your new one.
  • Every 30 days, the student can reset his or her password. If you need to change your password before the deadline,
  • After 30 days, you should notify your school.
  • In the next field, re-enter the password.
  • Reset your password by pressing the Reset Password button.
  • The student will receive a confirmation email as well as an alternative email address that you provided previously.
