What is China’s academic year like?

The academic year is divided into February to mid-July (six weeks summer vacation) and September to mid/late-January (four weeks winter vacation). 

If you study in China, you are required to go to classes five days a week. You are likely to spend over eight hours in school if you are a primary school student and over fourteen hours in school if you are a secondary school student.

In China, most schools usually start from about 7:30 am to about 6 pm. Break time usually lasts for two hours. Some schools run self-study classes from 7 pm-9 pm. This enables you to finish your homework and prepare for any test.
