However, JAMB has also added that for all prospective candidates should kindly register for the National Identification Number (NIN) if they have not.

Why Is JAMB Using NIN?

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board had made the registration for NIN with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) mandatory for all candidate taking 2021 JAMB.

This is so because the NIN is a unique number for easy identification of candidates through the Nigerian National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) for the validation of their nationality and citizenship.

As such, it is very compulsory is for all participant in the 2021 JAMB exam to enroll for the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and obtain their NIN before going for JAMB registration.

Can I Register for JAMB without NIN?

No!!! Because the JAMB NIN is not optional. So for any candidate to be qualified for the JAMB 2021 registration, such candidate must enroll for the  National Identity Number and present his or her NIN during registration.

Finally, we are not sure that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will suspend the compulsory use of the National Identification Number (NIN) again in 2021.
