I gladly bring the latest announcement of the KASU Cut off mark for 2021 to all concerned 2021/2022 academic session aspirants who will want to seek admission at the Kaduna State University.
This is the latest update that comes with a lot of hope for JAMB candidates that choose Kaduna State University as their first choice in the 2021 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam.
Do you wish to know if your JAMB score is okay for the course you want to apply for at KASU? If yes, then read to the bottom of this page and you will see the KASU departmental cut-off mark for all courses and faculties.
Is KASU Cut off mark for 2021 out?
Yes! The management of the Kaduna State University has released the general JAMB Cut-off mark that will be used for the 2021 Post UTME admission screening exercise across all departments and faculties.
From the released information, all aspirants who do not meet the declared general cut-off mark for their departmental cutoff point will not take part in the screening exercise neither will they be considered for admission.
What is KASU cut off mark for 2021? The JAMB Cut-off mark for Kaduna State University (KASU) is 170.
The 170 is the general cutoff point for all aspirants’ eligibility for post UTME while the departmental cutoff point is for aspirants’ eligibility to gain admission into their intended course.
Kaduna State Departmental Cut Off Mark 2021 for all Courses
If you want to be eligible for KASU 2021 Post UTME Exercise and also want to see your name on the KASU Admission List, you will have to make sure you also meet the KASU departmental cut off mark.
The departmental cut-off points are specific to each department, for all courses, and for each faculty. Candidates should know that the cut off mark is the determinate of their admission.
Candidates who meet their departmental cut off mark and have good SSCE should just get ready for admission.
Meanwhile, those who do not meet the cut off mark can upgrade their JAMB Result here or do a change of institution here.
The criteria for admission at KASU is base on “the higher your JAMB score, the better chances for admission”.
Now, the following is the departmental cutoff point breakdown for 2021 admission for all courses offered at the Kaduna State University.
Note: The cutoff mark below is by Faculty:
- All courses under the Faculty of Arts have cut off point of 170
- Courses under the faculty of Agriculture is 170
- Courses under the Faculty of Health Sciences is 200
- Faculty of Education courses cutoff point is 170
- Environmental Sciences courses are 170
- Faculty of Science courses are170, except for 180 for Computer Science, Microbiology, and Biochemistry which are 180.
- Management Sciences courses are 180
- The cut off points for Social Sciences courses are 180
- Cut off point for Medicine is 200
- All Pharmaceutical Sciences courses are 200
Calculating the KASU Aggregate Score
The above departmental cutoff points were estimated. So meeting each of them is not a guarantee. The best assurance for admission is scoring very high in JAMB.
For example, if you want to gain admission into Pharmacy, then you score at least, 250 and above, Political Science may require you to score 230 or above to stand a better chance.
So the stuff here is, the higher your JAMB score, the higher your chances of gaining admission.
But there is also more to this than what we just said because meeting the cut-off mark without meeting other requirements is also a drawback.
