This novel was used in JAMB use of English until 2016 Where “INDEPENDENCE” was introduced for the 2017 exam.

It is in the hands of JAMB to choose whether she will use the “Sweet Sixteen” written by Bolaji Abdullahi (used in 2018, 2019, 2020), “The Last Days at Forcados High School” written by A.I.I Mohammed (Used from starting till 2016) or “Independence” written by Sarah Ladipo Manyika (used in 2017) or a new novel.
