How To Stop Videos Autoplay On Facebook

Luckily it is very easy to turn off autoplay on Facebook for both Android and iPhone users. Just follow these guides below:

For iOS:

  1. Tap the three horizontal lines in the lower-right corner of the app.
  2. Select Settings & Privacy, followed by Settings again.
  3. Again, tap Settings and then hit Media under Preferences.
  4. Scroll down to Videos and Photos, and select it.
  5. Go to Autoplay, and choose Never Autoplay Videos.

For Android:

  1. Tap the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner of the app.
  2. Click on Settings & Privacy > Settings.
  3. Scroll down and click on Media.
  4. Select Autoplay.
  5. Choose Never Autoplay Videos.

For web:

  1. Open the Facebook website in your browser and log in.
  2. Click on the down-facing arrow at the top right.
  3. Click on Settings & Privacy and then Settings again.
  4. Scroll down the sidebar and tap Videos.
  5. Change Auto-play videos to Off.

Voila, you just disabled the autoplay feature on Facebook.

Next, we are going to disable autoplay on Instagram.

How To Stop Videos Autoplay On Instagram

When it comes to Instagram playing videos automatically, we can’t stop it, seeing as Instagram is all about videos and photos, to begin with, but we can at least take a few steps to prevent or reduce it from sucking our mobile data dry. Instead of just automatically playing videos as you scroll down your Instagram, the app will pre-load them, so they are ready as you scroll and save data in the process. 

You can report a spam account on Instagram. so the account can be deleted

Just follow these guides below:

For iOS:

  1. Tap the cog in the upper-right corner of Instagram.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Account
  4. Go to Data usage.
  5. Turn on Use Less Data.

For Android:

  1. Tap the more options icon in the upper-right corner of Instagram.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Account.
  4. Select Cellular Data Use.
  5. Turn on Use Less Data.

Following these steps will help reduce your data usage and save data for you.

Finally, it is Twitter.

How To Stop Videos Autoplay On Twitter

Like Facebook, Twitter also autoplay the media every time it appears on your feed. However, you can disable it quickly, whether on the Twitter web or mobile apps, using the steps below.

For iOS:

  1. Launch Twitter, then tap on your picture.
  2. Select Settings and privacy.
  3. Click on Accessibility, display, and languages.
  4. Click on Data Usage.
  5. Finally, click Video autoplay and select Never.

For Android:

  1. Launch Twitter, then tap on your picture.
  2. Navigate to Settings & Privacy.
  3. Tap on Accessibility, display, and languages.
  4. Then, click on Data Usage.
  5. Under Video, tap on Video autoplay and select Never.

For Web:

  1. Open Twitter in your browser and log in to your account.
  2. Click on More in the sidebar menu and select Settings and privacy.
  3. Now, click on Accessibility, display, and languages.
  4. Tap Data Usage > Autoplay.
  5. On the next page, select Never.

And that is it. You just disabled the autoplay feature on Twitter.
