Some of us will subscribe to a one-month data plan and because of the way videos automatically play on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook the data will not even last a week. If you have been passing through this problem, you are at the right place today.

In this article, I am going to share with you how to turn off autoplay on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Fortunately, there is something you can do to prevent your data and your time from wasting. And that is what I’m going to show you here and right now.

In this article, I will be showing you how to turn off autoplay on three different social media platforms, I think we should start with the motherload of the three which is Facebook.

How To Stop Videos Autoplay On Instagram

When it comes to Instagram playing videos automatically, we can’t stop it, seeing as Instagram is all about videos and photos, to begin with, but we can at least take a few steps to prevent or reduce it from sucking our mobile data dry. Instead of just automatically playing videos as you scroll down your Instagram, the app will pre-load them, so they are ready as you scroll and save data in the process.

Just follow these guides below:

For iOS:

  1. Tap the cog in the upper-right corner of Instagram.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Account
  4. Go to Data usage.
  5. Turn on Use Less Data.

For Android:

  1. Tap the more options icon in the upper-right corner of Instagram.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Account.
  4. Select Cellular Data Use.
  5. Turn on Use Less Data.

Following these steps will help reduce your data usage and save data for you.

Finally, it is Twitter.

How To Stop Videos Autoplay On Twitter

Like Facebook, Twitter also autoplay the media every time it appears on your feed. However, you can disable it quickly, whether on the Twitter web or mobile apps, using the steps below.
