REQUIRED FUTA DEPARTMENTAL CUT OFF MARKS FOR ADMISSION.
The FUTA Cut Off Mark For 2020 Admission is Out and it is set at 180. All Candidates that wishes to apply for any course in FUTA must meet the required JAMB and FUTA Departmental Cut off Mark of 180.
Have any JAMB Score below 180 is an automatic disqualification for gaining admission in FUTA.
Upon meeting the required FUTA and JAMB Cut off mark, Applicants for admission in FUTA must also meet other compulsory requirements for Admission In FUTA as listed below.
FUTA ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
If you wish to apply for Admission in FUTA, then you must make sure the meet the requirements listed below.
- FUTA only Give admission to UTME student through JAMB and Direct Student through their respective recognized Qualification.
- Applicants that have interest in gaining Admission in FUTA must participate in the JAMB ADMISSION MATRICULATION BOARD Exam. This Exam is what you known as JAMB Exam
- FUTA only admit candidates that chose them as their first choice During Jamb Exam / Registration.
- It is very compulsory that all applicants for admission in FUTA must score at least 180 in their Jamb Exam.
- Candidates with Valid O’level Result like NECO, WAEC, NABTEB, GCE only can be accepted for Admission.
- All Applicants are required to have at least 5 credits pass in their O’ level Result (NECO, WAEC, NABTEB, GCE) etc. And the Credit must include Mathematics and English language.
- Upon passing the above listed criteria, all applicant that wishes to Gain admission in FUTA must participate in their POST UTME Exercise.
MODE OF ADMISSION IN FUTA
FUTA only admit UTME and Direct Entry Candidates in their Undergraduate Programmes. Candidates can also apply for PART TIME admissions in FUTA.

HOW TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION IN FUTA.
Candidates who have met the above requirements are to follow the instructions below to apply for Admission in FUTA via the school portal.
- Visit the School FUTA Admission Application Portal and website via futa.edu.ng
- Proceed to paying and getting the Admission FORM as guided on the Portal.
- Completely fill the form online and submit it.
- Print out a copy because you will need to attach it to your documents when going for your Admission Screening.

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) Portal is the official online platform which all the Candidates and Applicants are to carry out their POST UTME Registration.

If you have checked or seen your 2020 JAMB Result and you did well, then all you should do now is to go ahead and use your JAMB Result to Apply for admission In your desired institution.
But if your Score doesn’t meet the required Cut off Mark of your School, then do the following things listed below…
1. Apply for admission in less competitive courses if you know that your JAMB score will not meet your desired course of choice.
If your JAMB Score is low, then you can check out for courses that requires low JAMB Score for admission and do change of course here.
2. Go for less competitive institutions with low number of applicants if you know your JAMB Score will not meet the school you choosed.

3. Don’t go for a professional course like Law, Medicine and so on. But if you really want to go for a professional course, then you should make sure you score high in JAMB. You can also go for a less competitive institution that offers this professional course.
4. If you apply for highly competitive institutions, then you have to go for a very less competitive course e.g. Education and Agriculture courses.
But if you desire to go for a professional course in a competitive institution, then you should make sure you score high in JAMB.
Requirements for Gaining Admission into Any Nigerian Universities
The following requirements are paramount if you are interested in gaining admission into any Nigerian institution.
- At least 5 credits in SSCE/GCE or Ordinary Level (O’level) Result in not more than 2 sittings.
- A minimum JAMB Score of 180 depending your Choice of Institution and Course.
- A Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND) and other Advanced Level Certificates for Direct Entry candidates.
Note: other requirements will be set the school you applied for. But the most important and most paramount requirements are the once listed above.
